Abstract

Foundation is a substructure element that transfers building loads to the supporting soil layer. This study evaluates the pile foundation design for the Cikalong Wetan Inpatient Public Health Center Building in West Bandung Regency using ETABS 18 to obtain structural support reactions. The data include cone penetration test results, material properties, design dimensions, and axial reactions and moments from structural modeling. The ETABS analysis shows that the vertical axial reaction FZ at 36 foundation points ranges from 72.84 tons to 182.37 tons. The allowable capacity of a 35 cm diameter and 26 m long driven pile is 96.42 tons. The foundation design is classified into three types: Type 1 with 2 piles, Type 2 with 3 piles, and Type 3 with 4 piles. The checking results indicate that all foundation types satisfy the safety requirement because the factored load is lower than the effective group capacity. The capacity utilization ratio ranges from 0.826 to 0.868, indicating that the design is safe and has sufficient reserve capacity.
